Sometimes we have a full blown manic episode, and I’m not talking about the kind that feels like being on death row, but the kind that feels like a bad dream. You can’t ever just start laughing, you have to stop and take a deep breath, and you have to get back to work.

We’ve all had a bad day, and we all know what it’s like to get the shakes and have to force ourselves to finish a tough project or deal with a really awful boss. It’s not so much a manic episode as it is a breakdown. I had a couple of them this week. My daughter, who is 16, is having one right now as I write this. She’s being pretty self-aware, though.
We all go through manic episodes, but in order to have a good manic episode you have to have an important reason to do it. Usually it’s something like a deadline that you need to complete. But in this situation, shes having a breakdown over the fact that she feels like she’s losing her mind. It’s not that she’s not trying, it’s that she’s just not feeling like she’s making it.
Another manic episode is coming up. It’s one of those manic episodes where you just start having these really bad migraines, so then you go to bed and have a really bad dream or two. This is all just supposed to happen after a particularly stressful day at work. We have to prepare ourselves for it, but it’s not like it’s going to come on suddenly.
While there’s no guarantee that these episodes will show up every time, we do know that they will happen before your next cycle of manic episodes. And, as they do, the more you have to manage at work, the more you will be stressed out. So try to take a deep breath, and just try to put everything else into perspective. Then, when you wake up, you can just take it one day at a time.
I know I’m a bit late on this one, but lets all hope this isn’t the case for you. You know what I mean.
In terms of the “crash” part, I don’t understand the question. The most common question I get is, “Oh, did I just crash my car?” because there’s a very good chance you did. It might be the windshield, it might be the steering wheel, it might be a wheel rim, it might be a tire, it might be a wheel rim, or the car is just plain totaled.
